Neatness eating
When I eat breakfast, I pour cereal into the bowl, then milk, then I start eating. If I haven’t used enough milk, the cornflakes at the bottom are dry by the time I reach them, so I add more and continue eating. If I’ve used too much milk, I eat all the cornflakes and a puddle of milk remains, so I add more cornflakes to absorb it and continue eating. I basically keep pouring and eating and pouring and eating until I’ve got the ratio right, so I run out of cornflakes and milk at the same time, leaving a perfectly empty bowl. Then I stop.
Some days I have seven bowls of cereal for breakfast. Some days it’s only two. I’m okay with it - I hear a varied diet is good for you.I had a worse problem today - I was eating crackers and dip as I watched The West Wing. I ran out of crackers, but still had a little dip. Not enough to be worth putting back in the fridge. So I opened another packet of crackers. Then I ran out of dip. So I sliced up some cheese to go on my remaining crackers. Then The West Wing finished, and I still had food. So I put on another episode. Then I ran out of cheese, and still had crackers left. And then I started to feel sick.
The point is, you should only eat because you’re hungry. Don’t do it out of neatness, or boredom, or whatever your vice is.
